O2 - It's Your Community Awards
If you could change one thing about where you live, what would it be?
Awards of up to £1,000 are available to local groups and individuals for anything that can be shown to benefit your community.
The awards are independently judged and administered by The Conservation Foundation on behalf of O2. The Conservation Foundation is a charity that has been judging community projects for 26 years. For more information please do take a look at their website www.conservationfoundation.co.uk.

Outdoor Pursuits Training Fund
A generous anonymous bequest enabled Clyde Regional Scout Council to establish an Outdoor Pursuits Training Fund in December 1984. The purpose of the Fund is to provide grant assistance to Explorer Scouts, Scout Network, Leaders and other persons who wish to attend recognised training courses in outdoor pursuits. Suitable training courses are those which on completion provide certificated evidence of leadership and / or instructional ability within the terms of POR, examples being Mountain Leadership Certificates, Ski Leader certificates, appropriate British Canoe Union certificates or RYA Certificates in water activities (in cases of uncertainty applicants should contact the PR & Development Officer in the Regional Office on 0141 248 6022 before the application is submitted).

Regional Development Fund
The Region’s Development Fund exists to provide small amounts of financial support to Scout Groups and Districts that will extend, develop and improve the quality of Scouting provided to young people across Clyde Region.
The fund should be used to contribute to a pool of funding from the Group and District (or other sources) and should not normally be the only source of funding for a particular activity, event or project.

The Knightswood Trust

The trustees will consider applications from Scout Groups and other Scout Units for financial support for purposes that promote the social, physical, intellectual and spiritual development of young people aged from 10 – 17 years. We seek to fund good, practical programmes of activities that contribute to the personal development of young people. Applications should show clearly how the programme will achieve this.
Priority is always given to providing funding that benefits young people who are most in need of financial support. The trustees look for evidence of self-help and usually will not contribute more than is being contributed by the young person / people from their own efforts and enterprises.
Grants are usually in the range of £50 - £100 per young person.
