Cubs go Kayaking in Condorrat - 09-06-2008Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Kayak Club donated their expertise and kayaks at St. Maurice’s Secondary recently, to give the Condorrat Cub Scout Pack an adventure to remember. Cub Leader Shona Graham said “it’s a great activity for anyone who likes to “have a go” apart from being great fun, it’s a real test of concentration and coordination, our Cubs had an excellent experience thanks to CKKC.
"I and the other coaches were concerned about keeping 13 young Cubs occupied for 3 hours in a small pool, but that was soon forgotten. The enthusiasm of all, even the ones that were not too strong on the swimming side, threw themselves, literally, into everything that they were asked to do. They were a credit and a joy to be with, roll-on next year or next time, when we hope to do it all over again. Well done and thank you to all that was there” said Steve Frampton, Head Coach at Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Kayak Club. Cubs are boys and girls who are aged between 8-10 ½ years old. Parents say Scouting gives their children more confidence, responsibility, a broader set of friends, a chance to pursue things they might not get to do otherwise, adventure and an extended family. | Events: Gang Show 2008![]() Glasgow Gang Show 2008 runs from November 28th - December 6th at The Mitchell Theatre, Glasgow.
